What happens in a Health Coaching session?
During a health coaching session, you will sit down with your coach and discuss your health and lifestyle goals and how best to achieve them. Your coach will offer guidance and suggestions for you to implement and help you with strategies to fit this new information into your current circumstances.
Your coaching session is all about you. Your coach will help keep you on track and on purpose but will follow your lead as to what you want to have discussed or worked on.
Why choose a Health Coach instead of another Health Care Professional?
Primary health care professionals (like your doctor, chiro or naturopath) are busy folks who focus their time on your most serious complaints so as to have the maximum impact on your health in their time with you.
Often they will give you a recommendation (such as lose weight or exercise more) but they won’t give you any advice on HOW to make that happen or WHAT that means to you.
Your health coach is an experienced how-to guide on helping you to implement the advice of your primary health care professional in a sustainable and effective way to maximise your Good Health.
Health Coaching can stand alone to help you achieve your goals and/or help you work in your primary health care practitioner’s recommendations to help you achieve the best results for You!
