Healthy and Safe New Years Eve

Written by rebeccah

It’s almost New Years Eve!

2023 is coming to an end which means it’s time to celebrate with all of our family and friends.

It’s important to put in place a variety of measures to keep yourself and others safe to ensure you can focus on all of the fun.

So how can we stay safe and healthy this New Year’s Eve?

  • Plan ahead to limit stress on the day.
  • Make sure you eat plenty of food throughout the day.
  • Stay hydrated!
  • Be mindful of how much alcohol you’re drinking – perhaps set yourself a limit beforehand.
  • Alternate between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the night.
  • If you’re going out to celebrate or watch the fireworks plan your route home to ensure a safe return.
  • Eat a balanced diet – aim to include a variety of vegetables, protein, fruits and nuts.
  • Don’t forget to cleanse your face before you go to sleep.
  • Get plenty of sleep the night before.
  •  Don’t forget to think of your pets! Make sure they have plenty of water and shelter from the sound of fireworks.

But most importantly… have fun! New Year’s Eve is about spending time with your loved ones to celebrate the year we’ve had and share the anticipation for the year ahead – enjoy it!
